Today, a group of representatives from the Traditional Latin Mass community in Kingston met with Archbishop O'Brien to discuss the future of the Latin Mass. His Grace was very supportive, and will be making inquiries to help us find a priest to supplement the current monthly celebration.
I'll keep this blog updated on our efforts to find a priest, which will now begin in earnest. I'm very hopeful that we will find a local priest who is willing to learn the Extraordinary Form, and that we will eventually have a weekly celebration.

Well, if the priest already knows how to read Latin, he could learn to say Low Mass in an hour...
I'm just here from Fr.Z's site where he linked to your upcoming Nov 9th Mass. I'm one of those dreaded Anglican Catholics in the news about to descend on Rome at the Holy Father's invitation. I also appreciate the Latin Mass, however my personal experience has been entirely Low Masses - and frankly I prefer Anglican Catholic liturgy to kneeling in silence for a half an hour while a priest mutters and the altar boy mutters back at twice the speed of sound.... I spent a fruitful 5 days retreat at a SSPX priory with daily Masses, but would not drive especially out of my way just to attend a Tridentine Low Mass... Missa Cantata is another beast altogether. Best wishes for the upcoming event.
At the low Masses I serve, I can assure you that neither the Priest nor the server "mutters at twice the speed of sound."
As a server, I take the careful enunciation of the Latin very seriously. Don't let abuses spoil the low Mass for you!
In any event, we only have the Missa Cantata here in Kingston.
Please be assured of my prayers as you come into an explicit communion with the Roman Pontiff. I hope you find peace after so many years of turmoil!
